WHAT IS THE COST OF THE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE?

The Registration Fee for the Leadership Institute is $975, due immediately after acceptance. Registration includes lodging, meals, snacks, materials and on-site transportation (it does not include travel to and from the location of the institute).

WHAT PAYMENT TYPES ARE ACCEPTED?

The Foundation accepts credit/debit card payments online. The Foundation no longer accepts checks.

CAN I BRING PAYMENT ON THE START DATE OF THE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE?

We ask that payment for the Leadership Institute be made upon acceptance. Please keep in mind that your seat into the cohort is secure once payment is made successfully.

WHERE IS CHECK-IN LOCATED AND WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

Approximately a week before the start of the institute, the Leadership Team will send correspondence to the accepted fellows as to where check-in will take place on. Check-in is typically between 10:00am and 1:00pm on the first day of the institute. The Opening Session begins promptly at 2:00pm on campus.


Please schedule all flights AFTER 2pm on the departure date. The arrival airport is SHV – Shreveport Regional Airport.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Participants are responsible for any toiletries and personal care items such as toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, lotion etc.

IS TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED?

Once you arrive to the campus of the host College/University, transportation will be provided to and from all institute related events. If you will be bringing a vehicle to the Institute, we will provide you with a parking pass/area for your vehicle at check-in. Accepted fellows are required to attend the Opening Session thru the Closing Session. Departure flights should not be scheduled before 2pm on the final day.

Day 1: Business Casual
Day 2: Business Casual

Day 3 Evening: Black Tie/Formal
Day 4: Business Casual

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AT THE LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE?

You will be engaged in a highly interactive program that has been carefully designed to ensure that participants gain valuable information, make deep and powerful connections, and depart with an even stronger commitment to their work and to our nation’s HBCUs. Please be sure to include information about any allergies and/or intolerance to gregory@heleaders.org so that we can be sure to notify catering about your meal needs.
